I play a weirdo...go figure. 8/8/09 All of Mike's sketches have been turned in for the all new Sketchworks mainstage show, "Sketch-22," which premieres Sept. 18! 8/1/09 Mike is back posting his 5-days-a-week comedy monologue blog, "The Stiles Files." 7/13/09 Mike is back hosting mornings on 640AM WGST for a couple of weeks. 7/12/09 "Drop Dead Diva" premieres on Lifetime. Mike can sometimes be seen, and sometimes he's just a blur. 6/7/09 One of Mike's favorite gigs! He fills in all week for Randy Cook on the morning show at talk radio WGST-AM Atlanta. 6/4/09 The Dawg is back! Mike shoots a car infomercial with Dawgpound Promotions for Augusta Mitsubishi. 6/1/09 Mike start contributing his "Dewey" character, as well as other audio bits and a joke/prep sheet to the new morning show at WFUS-FM Tampa! 5/1/09 All of May is busy with "Drop Dead Diva" and doing the usual radio spot production for various folk. Sketchworks' all new show "Sketch and the City" opens with lots of sketches and films written by Mike. 4/30/09 Mike and Sketchworks help out for the third year in a row doing some sketches for a gathering of the Partnership Against Domestic Violence. No it ain't comedy, but we like to help out wherever we can. 4/21/09 Mike starts regularly helping out on the set of the new Lifetime series "Drop Dead Diva," which shoots in Peachtree City. He's a lawyer in the firm where the lead characters work. The show premieres on Lifetime in July. 4/5/09 Mike hits to road to St. Augustine to fill in doing a morning talk show for WFOY-AM. The definition of a working vacation! 4/1/09 The web site for which Mike has done on camera for several features goes live at www.explore404.com! 3/31/09 The web and TV series Mike served as co-screenwriter on, "High Rise" premieres at www.highrisetheseries.com as well as on Comcast Video On Demand. He's also got a small roll as strange restaurant manager Bob Yeagley. 3/20/09 Mike pens an article all about Sketchworks for the Spring 2009 edition of Atlanta ShowGuide. 3/18/09 Mike start blogging for the much admired advertising and marketing web site www.Talentzoo.com, specifically writing about new media for their offshoot site www.digitalpivot.com 3/5/09 Mike plays "dad" in a luxury magazine photo shoot for Ken Lucas and Lucas Advertising. 2/28/09 Mike goes into the studio for the final recording sessions for his upcoming Notorious D-A-D CD! 2/23/09 Mike provides the big announcer voice for a pharmaceutical TV spot at Nightglass. 2/18/09 Mike cuts more radio PSA's for the ISPCA. 2/8/09 Mike shoots his scene as restaurant manager Bob Yeagley for High Rise - the Series, which he also co-wrote. 2/7/09 Mike hosts a live auction for an organization providing ongoing support to families who have lost a child to cancer. 2/6 and 2/10/09 Mike hosts some more segments with Explore404.com, showing off Atlanta! 2/3/09 Mike plays the "here's what not to do" employee in an industrical with Micah Lindler. 2/3/09 Mike does man on the street interviews for a pharmaceutical industrial with Artisan Pictureworks. 1/30/09 For the third year in a row, Mike writes script for presentation for the Partnership Against Domestic Violence. 1/28/09 Mike books two more car informercials with Ross Media! 1/22/09 Mike does some more comedy writing (web animation) for Dave Shapiro Productions. 1/5/09 Mike is teaching the Intro to Sketch Acting class at Sketchworks for the month of January. Call him "Professor." 12/26/08 In addition to co-screenwriting the show, Mike picks up the part of restaurant manager Bob Yeagley in the web and TV show "High Rise - the Series." 12/22/08 TBS taped the pilot episode of their new show "TBS Comedy Roadshow" today and it'll feature 2 films from Sketchworks. The brand goes national very soon! 12/17/08 Mike must not have messed it up too bad over Thanksgiving cause he'll be filling in doing the morning show on 640 WGST for the rest of the year! Bush, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama impressions for a new Internet startup company that creates "celebrity" message apps for social networking sites. 8/8/08 Mike once again had a ball sitting in on the Zakk and Jane morning show on Dave-FM! 8/1/08 "Sketchworld!" opens to rave reviews! 7/18/08 Mike turned in 3 audio comedy sketches to be used by Home Depot in their customer care training. 7/9/08 Mike is acting/directing a new Bob Ross short, shot by Brud Gotts, to be included in the new Sketchworks show, "Sketchworld!" 7/3/08 Mike is acting/directing a new short, "Making Eyes", shot by Keel Heisler, to be included in the upcoming Sketchworks show, "Sketchworld!" 6/30/08 Mike's whole family did the "extras" thing for a shoot with sportscasters Chip Carey and Mark Lemke at Applebee's. Mike, Ross Media and the "Dawg" bring on Hudson Hyundai in Columbia as our newest client! 4/24/08 Mike and Sketchworks again had the pleasure of helping out doing a stage presentation for the Partnership Against Domestic Violence. Lucky stiff. 3/19/08 Mike adds Augusta Suzuki as an on camera client with Ross Media and the Dawgpound! 2/6/08 Mike picks up commercial production duties for his pals at Newstalk1240 and Sportsradio1420 in St. Augustine. 2/5/08 For the second year, Mike had a blast as host of "Campus Superstar" at Emory, sponsored by Hillel of Atlanta. 2/4/08 Mike starts helping out the new Zakk Tyler morning show on DaveFM Atlanta with bits and parody songs. Welcome to Atlanta Zakk and Sweet Baby Jane! 2/4/08 Mike shoots another round of TV spots for the Ed Schmidt Automotive Group in Toledo, OH for Ross Media. 2/1/08 Sketchworks' all new show "Sketchablanca" is now open and if opening night was any indication, it's the best Sketchworks show ever. Go to the Sketchworks web site and don't miss this one! 1/26/08 Mike celebrated his 17th year of being lucky enough to have Kim Stiles as his wife. Anyone who's been in radio, or acting, or writing or any kind of creative business knows you have to have one of the most understanding wives in the world to pursue any of this silliness! By the way, Kim can tell you how to get financially free and independent for the rest of your life so you can pursue your own passions and never again be subjected to someone being able to turn your life upside down on a whim by firing you. It's real and it's working for us! 1/23/08 Mike had a follow-up article published on the radio trade web site AllAccess.com, talking about the reaction to his first piece about the changing nature of radio and management's approach toward talent. 1/18/08 Mike is featured in the print and online editions of the Atlanta Journal Constitution with his Notorious D-A-D character. Here's the link to the story for as long as they keep it up. 1/11/08 Mike taped his first edition as anchor of "Cumming Home," which will be seen monthly on Comcast cable systems in Forsyth and Cherokee counties. It'll also be viewable online at cumminghome.tv 1/7/08 Mike has begun doing daily newscasts for Newsradio 1240 WFOY in St. Augustine, FL! 1/4/08 It has begun yet again! Rehearsals are underway for the all new Sketchworks show, "Sketchablanca," opening the first weekend in February. This one's directed by Sketchworks' own Jen Kelley, and you can always check out what's going on (including classes) at the Sketchworks web site. 1/3/08 Mike recorded several spots as on-camera pitchman for Ed Schmidt Automotive and Ed Schmidt Chevy-Hummer in Toledo with his friends from Ross Media. 12/13/07 Mike has been chosen as anchor of "Cumming Home," a TV show that will start out as a monthly seen on Comcast in Forsyth County. 12/3/07 Mike did custom station liners for Clear Channel, Richmond and Lite98 as nearly all the main characters in the Rudolph Christmas TV special.
